  • The MINUTE function will extract the minute component of a time as a number between 0-59.

Syntax

  • Here, you will see the syntax of the MINUTE function.
  • To apply this function on your spreadsheet, you have to select a cell and enter the formula in the following format.
  • Once you enter the formula, just click on the Enter button to get the result.

=MINUTE(Serial-Number)

  • For example =Minute(A1), here the Minute Function will take the minute value from cell A1.
  • We can specify the time in Hours: Minutes: Seconds format. 

Argument Explanation:

  • serial_number – It represents the valid input date.

  • Initially, you have to open your Excel workbook on your PC and launch a worksheet that has data.
