• To apply this function on your spreadsheet, you have to select a cell and enter the formula in the following format.
• Once you enter the formula, just click on the button to get the result.

=MINIFS(min_range, range1, criteria1, [range2], [criteria2], …)

Arguments Explanation:

• min_range – The range of values from which you want to find the minimum value.
• range1 – It is the first range to evaluate.
• criteria1 – The criteria to use range 1.
• range 2 – It is an optional one. It is the second range to evaluate.
• criteria2 – It is an optional one. The criteria to use range 2.

Note:
1) If no cells match the criteria, this function returns 0.

## Examples

Here are examples to understand how to use MINIFS Function.

• Initially, you have to open your Excel workbook on your PC and launch a worksheet that has data.
• For example, we have given the range of input values in Columns B and C and we will get the lowest marks from this range using MINIFS function.
• Then, we have to apply the above-mentioned formula to get the result, as shown in the following screenshot.
• Finally, we need to click on the button to get the result. Drag down the first cell to fill the remaining cells as shown in the below image.
